Spring is right around the corner …I hope. As I write this, there is another massive amount of snowfall predicted for Minnesota.
Don’t wait until Spring is upon us. Get yourself and your clown ready for the busy season ahead of time. Here are some tips of what you can do right now!
Pull out all your costumes. Try them on. (Did you know? Costumes can shrink just hanging there!)
Wash them. Check buttons, zippers and Velcro. Fix anything that needs attention.
Wash your wig, (CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS) then trim any wild hairs.

Clean your shoes. If you have leather shoes polish them. No colored polish? Use a good hand lotion!
Get fresh shoe laces. Check your heels. Get them replaced if they are worn down; it will help your back and feet!
Check to see of the elastic is still good. You don’t want your socks to roll down during your big parade!

Check your glue! If it is dried out, replace it.
Check your nose. Does it have glue marks on the outside? It may be time to toss it.
If you own a ProKnows clown nose: Use the Dissolvent to remove the excess glue on the inside, or replace your nose.
If you own a Jim Howle clown nose: You can repaint Jim Howle noses with Apple Crate acrylic craft paint (easily found at Wal-Mart or craft stores).
If you own an ACME String Nose: restring with new round elastic or clear bracelet elastic (easily found at Wal-Mart or craft stores).

Get something new!
You don’t have to buy a whole new costume. You can freshen up your look with just a new hat or other simple accessories. If you are going to order something give yourself two months to be safe. If you need new makeup or wigs give yourself at least two weeks.
