Both my kiddos on the Ringling Circus, DJ and Julia, got caught in snowstorms this past week! #snowmageddon
The Red Show (where Julia is) had two shows cancelled due to ice and snow in Atlanta.
At the same time record snow falls were hitting Philadelphia, so the Blue show (where DJ is) missed out on shows as well.
The Red show tacked on an additional show to make a 9-pack over President’s Day holiday. A NINE-PACK!
For those of you who don’t know, most Ringling circus weekends involve three shows on Saturdays and two on Sundays. But for holidays and special markets, there will be 6-pack weekends: three shows Saturday and three shows Sunday. The Ringling show is a high energy show, so doing three shows in one day is tough on a body, even a young body. I remember asking veteran clown Tammy Parrish if Saturday ever stopped hurting. She said, “No, you just get so numb you don’t feel it anymore!”
Julia posted on Facebook in the middle of her 9-pack that she wished someone would turn down the gravity! I reminded her that a bad day on the circus is better than a good day at a normal job. She agreed!
It’s great when clowns are in the audience! Be sure to say hi to my kiddos on the floor. Here is Julia with an old clown friend, Miss Tea Cup, from Georgia.
See my kids on the circus!
