Blue Unit — LEGENDS
DJ Weiss just finished performances in Hershey, Pennsylvania and is on his way to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Hershey was one of my personal favorite stops on our circus routes, since we got to go into Hershey Park on our off time. The town really did smell like chocolate!
He was there when Ringling held another round of Clown College Auditions. Read about it here at the Lancaster Newspaper, and take a look at this cool promo video!
DJ is much more at ease now that some of the girls from the circus accident have been released from the hospital. Some will require extensive physical therapy. Those women have been moved out of ICU and into a rehabilitation center.
There has been an amazing out pouring of support for these amazing woman and the circus family. Keep the prayers coming as they face a long road to recovery.
Red Unit — BUILT TO AMAZE
Julia Bothun, known as “Lucy” in her alley, is also featured in a recent video!
Julia enjoyed a little slice of heaven last week. Her long-time boyfriend Cassidy, has joined her for the long train run from Louisville, Kentucky to Laredo, Texas. That is the last stop before the train moves on to Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico.
Sorry Julia, Cassidy promised his mom he would finish college first!
More good news for Julia is that another dear friend has joined her for a circus adventure. We fostered Cali for her Senior year of high school. She went on to take a year and half of culinary classes before deciding to jump on the circus train. Cali is now learning how to cook on a moving train.
Here she is after working the night shift enjoying the view on the vestibule — that’s the space between two train cars where you can look out the open window. It is no illusion, the world is really whipping by! But you can’t mistake the look of bliss on her face.
Oh those were the days!
